The idea for Newport Sailing Club began with a request to record some instrumentals that I had been playing around with. Once the first instrumental was finished, I thought about how much fun and artistically satisfying it was to create it. For once, it was music to be felt and not thought about. It didn't have an agenda, didn't need to say anything, it just existed for people to do with it what they wanted.

This EP was recorded in the Summer of 2013 before I even had the Newport Saling Club moniker. I needed to do this to give me a break from my other project, The Arctic Flow. The three tracks contained in this EP are inspired largely by my love of the Atlantic ocean, particularly the sunrises.

I don't have a clue what to do from here. I hope that people who like ambient music will help spread the word. Hopefully, this EP will come out in a physical format in the future.
